How to measure your foot
- Stand on a sheet of paper in the socks you'll wear at events.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe and the back of your heel.
- Measure between the marks in centimetres.
- Do this for both feet and use the longer one.
- Find the nearest foot length above and pick that size.

The 17th-century version was a general labourer's farm-workers'-style boot with no laces. This version has grown into a best-selling re-enactment boot for the battlefield.
